Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

Targeted support is delivered to groups of learners off-site through Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) sessions. These sessions are designed to support learners in developing mindfulness skills, managing intense emotions, and improving emotional regulation. Learners may experience challenges such as self-harm, relationship difficulties, and emotional dysregulation, helping them to build resilience and develop healthier coping strategies.

Sarah - Practitioner

I am a Senior Higher Lever Teaching Assistant at Magdalen Court. I provide a wide range of support across the school, including working closely with learners, staff and the safeguarding team. You can find me based across the school as well as out in the community, supporting learners in a variety of settings.

In addition, I support students on a 1:1 basis by developing and adapting individual timetables to meet their specific needs. This includes providing a 'change of face' where appropriate, helping to re-engage pupils with their education and ensuring they receive consistent, tailored support that promotes both academic progress and emotional wellbeing.
